Are You Focusing on Your Wants Instead of Your Shoulds?

As part of an incredible group I’m in, which is run by Robyn Youkilis, I was on an amazing call last week and our guest speaker Trina Huffman, aka Your Joyologist, shared a sentiment that completely resonated with me —- F*ck the shoulds, do the wants.

Awesome, right?!

How often do we feel like we have endless things we should be checking off our to-do lists that we can’t actually stop and focus on what we want to do? Of course, we can’t do everything we want all the time, but it’s a good reminder to help shift our mindset and priorities.

For me, I took this as a sign from the universe to pause and start re-prioritizing what I really want to do. I already feel better and now use this as my re-commitment to say NO to more things that I truly do not want to do (even if sometimes I feel like I should).

Take a minute and let this eye-opening sentiment help guide you through your day and the weeks, months, year ahead. Ensure you’re focusing on your wants and trust that everything else will fall into place as you embrace them <3.
