With summer in full swing, have you created a summer bucket list of places to go, things to do and people to see?
Creating seasonal bucket lists are always a highly anticipated time in our house, as we try to plan out realistic and, let’s face it, somewhat unrealistic goals that may or may not happen, but get us ready and excited for what the next season will bring.
One thing that has been on my own summer bucket list since high school (ha) has been outdoor concerts – they’re fun, freeing and it feels like everyone just exudes happiness, helping you forget about any stress or anxieties, as you’re soaking up the live music.
Do you know how powerful music can be for your health?
“Music is medicinal. But the idea that music can be used to for health and to heal the mind is increasingly grounded in scientific evidence – not theory. Scientific studies – ranging from investigations of the brain at a cellular level, to psychiatric assessments of schizophrenics, to linguistic scores in stroke patients – are all leading to the same conclusion: music isn’t just a form of entertainment, it is evolutionarily significant.” (source BBC Science Focus Magazine)
Do you agree that your energy and outlook are boosted, transformed and recharged for the better/what’s to come when you listen to music or see a concert? Talk about amazing self care!
While I definitely don’t attend as many concerts as I’d like, as schedules and travels have become more complicated, I always cherish the time outside.
Here’s hoping your summer bucket list includes a show, or two!
