In my journey to live cleaner, easier and safer, I can’t count the number of times my mind has been blown by learning that everyday things may be laced with harmful ingredients, materials, you name it.
A few years ago, I came across a lead expert named Tamara Rubin, who after her own children were unfortunately lead poisoned became a lead poisoning prevention advocate, and tests countless household products for lead and other heavy metals. Her findings have continuously shocked me and one item in particular that I surprised to learn that contained high levels of lead is hoses.
Did you know that most hose ends are made from high lead brass? So you wouldn’t want to be playing with (and for young children, possibly putting those hands then in their mouths) or drinking from them, which many of us may have done during our childhood summers.
So, what’s a better option?
