Prioritizing Your Health

When was the last time you made your health and wellness a priority?

Sometimes it comes down to time and money – and of course those hurdles may never change – but many times it may come down to better prioritizing and refocusing. I’m not saying skip a month’s rent or mortgage for the sake of one’s health, but seeing the above image stopped me in my tracks (and I recommend following Holly Owens’ awesome Instagram account @wellthybelly).

Why?

Because sometimes we just need to take a step back, so we can better focus on our priorities and shift our mindset accordingly.

It’s about making time and creating space for you and your needs, as well as thinking about what will help long term.

No one is suggesting that you stop spending time perusing social media on your phone or give up those shopping runs (whether it’s for what’s on your clean eating or beauty list or those sometimes necessary impulse buys) – please, we’re all human!

Instead, with September around the corner and as we say goodbye to those laid back summer vibes and embrace school/(perhaps more formal) work routines, let’s challenge ourselves to:

….invest in ourselves more and make self-care a priority.

….appreciate all the good in our lives.

….take a better look at our mindset to focus more on the activities that will help our physical and mental health, happiness and further that never-ending quest for a better work and life balance.

….be more conscious of how we’re allocating our time and money accordingly.

Collectively, this challenge can help us re-focus, prioritize and set us up for success this fall ❤
