How Do You Shop for Clothes?

When it comes to shopping for clothes for yourself and/or your family, do you have a shopping strategy?

Do you buy all new?

Secondhand?

Do you like renting clothes?

Or do you do a combination of the three?

In my house, we usually do a mixture of all the above – especially when it comes to my kids, who are very fortunate to be given many hand-me-downs from family and friends, which has not only helped the environment but our wallets as well.

So, when we need to fill in the gaps, I try my best to shop for clothes made from natural fibers (100% cotton is my go-to) and ideally don’t fall into the fast fashion category.

Cue the need for timeless basics and one brand that has been a favorite, ever since my son was gifted their super soft onesies almost four years ago, is Primary.

Primary’s offerings are mainly made from high quality natural fabrics, which are OEKO-TEX Standard 100 and while 100% GOTS organic would be ideal (as it’s the absolute best for the environment but can harder on your budget), OEKO-TEX is a close second. Why? Because it’s a higher standard that is better for skin, the environment and peace of mind.

Our latest order of Primary leggings, sweatpants, shirts and hoodies helped safely complete my children’s wardrobes without breaking the bank and got their seal of approval, too – woohoo!!

If you haven’t shopped with Primary before, use code AUGSTRIPES for 20% and free shipping on your first purchase (expires 11/30).
