As we start to do more “normal” things like going back to school/work, sports, activities and being more out and about this fall, doing it with the right mindset is what you need to navigate life during this pandemic.
While I’m no medical professional and won’t ever claim to be, I believe sharing is caring when it comes to staying informed and fundamental practices that can help us live life better and safer during cold/flu season, the Corona-coaster and always, too! I’ve loved following Dr. Ben Lynch over the past year and his practical advice, reiterating how important it is to support your body to boost immunity now.
Yes, masks are important, so keep wearing them, but so is prioritizing your health and taking care of yourself. There are many ways to do this, including and not limited to:
- Eating a healthy, well balanced diet
- Building exercise into your day and leading an active lifestyle
- Spending time outdoors and soaking up Vitamin D naturally
- Prioritizing sleep
- Taking the right vitamins and supplements (if needed)
Dr. Lynch’s recommended advice should you come down with Covid is wonderful too to have in your back pocket just in case (again consult with your own Doc should you get sick), but these supporting tips can certainly apply during cold/flu season as well.
Now more than ever, put your health first, not only for prevention, and remember education is power.
