With Thanksgiving around the corner, chances are you’ve started to think about or have set your Thanksgiving menu. There are so many options to think about – from appetizers and side dishes to the main dishes and desserts – to strike a balance between a healthy yet delicious and probably indulgent meal (80/20, right?!).

You are what you eat, so especially now, it’s about finding a healthy balance at meals everyday and during the holidays and look to supplementation when necessary.

Ever since the pandemic started, we’ve been seeing most of the news stories focus more on infection and death rates – don’t get me wrong, this is important to cover and remember those lost – than how to boost your overall immunity and take preventative measures. People need the guidance and resources to help maximize their health and wellness now more than ever, so cue the happy dance when I saw this CNN article yesterday – it’s a step in the right direction!

Not only were they rating what food to say “thanks” or “no thanks” to on Thanksgiving, but also the importance of consuming more fruits and vegetables daily to maximize your immune system’s function – yes!!!

Yes to striking a balance between indulgent and nutritious foods and mindful eating!

Yes to sharing guidance on how to eat better, move our bodies and take care of ourselves!

And yes to ensuring you up your fruit and vegetable intake to help naturally boost your immunity now and always!

Education is key, so let’s hope we continue to see recommendations and practical advice on how to maximize our health as we head into any more waves and the winter months.
