
As we all continue to spend time outside – whether it’s around a fire pit or heat lamp (aka the winter equivalent to summer’s must-have, the above ground pool), sledding, skiing or enjoying another winter activity) – be sure you’re giving your skin and lips some TLC to keep them protected in the harsh cold temperatures and/or wind.
Before you head out, don’t forget to apply a moisturizer and some SPF (yes, you should be wearing it year round!) so you’re skin is prepped and ready.
Next, follow these additional steps to further protect yourself from dry and windburned skin and chapped lips:
- Apply a thin layer of our Lotus Glow Cleansing Balm or Baby Balm (amazing for adults, too) to cheeks and chin to create a hydrating barrier, better shield your skin from the winter elements and prevent chapping.
- Don’t forget those lips! Love using our Peppermint Lip Conditioner, as it nourishes as it protects and smells (and yes tastes, ha!) incredible, thanks to its peppermint and rosemary oils.
- Finally, before putting on your gloves, apply some lightweight Hand Cream to soften and keep your hands moisturized.
Enjoy your time outside and be sure to re-apply those winter skin/lip savers once you’re back inside thawing for more well-needed hydration and soothing.
