Yup, 2020 has been a year and I think we can all agree that we will welcome 2021 with open arms.
While this year has been a blur and filled with many lows, I’m sure we can find some highs, too, with so many lessons to be learned and loved these from Nedra Tawwab.
As we finish out the final week of the year, I’m taking time to pause and reflect on some key learnings:
- This year has been about being safe at home, not stuck at home (although I’ll admit I’ve definitely felt stuck at times, who hasn’t?!).
- Being present and realizing how much the little things in life mean to you, while not taking them for granted.
- Always remembering the importance of kindness and community.
- Be selfish about how you spend your time and make your own boundaries.
- Keep hope that people are considering others while doing what’s best for them.
- Focus on your blessings, find the joy around you and recognize your utmost gratitude for the people and things that matter most to you.
While January 1st won’t bring back the normalcy we were accustomed to back in March, I pray it brings us hope for the future, constant appreciation for our health and front line workers, who work so hard for us, and a reminder that we are in this and will get through this together.
Peace out, 2020, see you all in 2021 <3.
