After the roller coaster ride of 2020, it feels nice to start 2021 with a clean, blank slate, right?
Do you make New Year’s resolutions?
Or perhaps choose a mantra, intention and/or word(s) to help guide and challenge you through a new year?
Personally, this year I have shifted away from resolutions – although I would like to do more reading, which I’ve probably set as a resolution ever year for the past several years (but I am getting better at making the time!) – and more towards words that I’m using to manifest and motivate me.
This year, I’ve chosen my words to be expansion and joy.
Expansion is literally and figuratively for me. One, we are embarking shortly on a big house project that we have worked hard towards for many years and two, also looking beyond any self-doubt to expand my personal and professional goals. Why limit myself when I have nothing to lose?
Also, 2020 taught me very quickly how much we may take for granted, so I am choosing joy and prioritizing my time and energy for people, places, things (etc.) that bring me joy.
Need a place to get started? I love the above image that @donte.colley posted, as it’s such a great exercise to help direct and/or guide you if you’re looking for a mantra, a word for this year or some ideas of potential priorities in the coming days, months and ahead.
Let’s share our word(s), intention and mantra too, so together, we can make 2021 amazing.
