As things are starting to open up more and feel more “normal”, you may find yourself switching up your go-to outfits beyond those yoga pants or sweats (which are always here to stay in my house, ha!). But before you head out shopping, have you shopped your closet first?
Don’t underestimate the potential of your closet, especially after you’ve most likely only utilized a small portion of your clothes and accessories the past year – you may find some hidden treasures you’ve forgotten!
I bought this Salt strap back in 2019 and never used it last year, so I was excited to start wearing it – but, I wanted a new bag to wear it with, of course. Instead, I decided to shop my closet and found this army bag I bought back in early high school. It solved my dilemma and I love bringing such “vintage” items back into rotation.
There’s no better time than now, especially with the ever-changing temperatures, to take a closer look at your closet to see what’s there, what’s missing and what needs to go (whether it’s for donations, passing along or selling). Then, you can prioritize what you may need and (try to) think beyond fast fashion to see how to best invest in high quality, long lasting items or consider shopping secondhand – Thred UP is my favorite for that!
