
When it comes time to pack for a beach/pool day, go food shopping on vacation or snack up for a road trip, chances are your shopping cart may be more indulgent than normal. Right?!
Don’t get me wrong – I’m all about that 80/20 balance, so I will definitely be reaching for chips, candy, ice cream, you name it, but too much of that can ruin your day/week/trip.
Instead, let’s focus on snacking better and adding cleaner options to the mix. And trust me, it’s not difficult nor will you sacrifice flavor, crunch or fun.
Allow me to introduce you to several of our go-to snacks that won’t disappoint:
- When the hunger pains are real and you need something to fuel you until lunch or dinner, Skout Organic bars never disappoint. Love that they’re made from minimal ingredients, contain no added sugar and our favorite Peanut Butter bar has 10g of protein to keep us sustained!
- Simple Mills crackers are the ideal answer when that chip break calls – GF, clean and delicious (alone or with cheese/dips), love these crackers anytime of the day and perfect to fill up in your Stasher bag!
- Fruit for the win! Whether it’s apples, cut up watermelon/cantaloupe, bananas, berries or grapes, the more, the merrier, as fruit is always a must-have and the perfect, satisfying reset!
- What do you reach for when you need a clean protein hit? A bag of Whisps – love that they’ll also satisfy your cheese craving and are GF, too!
- Of course we can’t forget potato chips, but add in Barnana Banana Chips while you’re at it – these are so good, come in great flavors and the crunch may just fool you 😉
- While pretzels aren’t anything ingredient-wise to necessarily write home about, my kids are obsessed with Pretzel Crisps. Whether you eat them alone or with a cheese stick or hummus, they’re always crowd favorites.
