Do You Have Any Morning Rituals?

Starting your morning on the right foot is such an important step, as it can set the day’s tone, impact your mood and help you embrace the right mindset for a great day ahead.

Do you have any morning rituals?

Rather than reaching for my phone as soon as my eyes open (although I definitely do at times but also need to turn the alarm off), this year I’m (re)prioritizing mindfulness, meditation and focusing on getting back to my rituals.

Mine aren’t complicated (nor do they have to be because then we’re more likely to skip them, right?!), but I like starting the morning appreciating the silence – or minimizing the noise ha – and reaching for these two books to start my day off right.

A Year Without Fear and The Book of Awakening are awesome to help you stay present, focus on intentions, shift your mindset and, frankly, can sometimes be the push you need to get out of your own head. Although social media can get a bad rap, I’m grateful to MaryJo of @port2palm and Sophie Jaffe for introducing me to both of these books respectively and allowing them to be part of my arsenal – they both live on my bedside table for easy access!

Do you feel like many days you too need to jump out of bed with so much to do? These are the perfect push to start the morning off slower, focusing on living authentically and with gratitude, for the good and bad. Both books have entries for each day of the year and neither are time consuming but can be very thought-provoking and truly inspiring – ideally I’ll read both, but consider one a win, ha.
