Over the past year, we’ve embarked on a whole house construction project and challenged ourselves to make as many safer, eco-friendly choices as we could when building our new home.
With the end in sight, one bigger focus turned to paint. Not only choosing paint colors for every room in the house, but finding a safer option, too.
Thankfully the search wasn’t too difficult and we decided to go with Benjamin Moore’s Eco Spec line – and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out.
After phasing out their Natura line last year (which would have been my go-to), Benjamin Moore introduced the Eco Spec line, which boosts zero VOCs, zero emissions and low odor – woohoo!! It’s Green Seal Certified, as well as asthma and allergy-friendly, and available in almost every BM paint shade.
Our painter was great, listening to my request of using a more environmentally-responsible paint and we were very impressed with the quality and colors. We loved that it’s not only quick-drying, but also has a smooth application that’s great for touch-ups, which are inevitable in the homestretch of this project.
Overall, we couldn’t be happier with this newer and safer Benjamin Moore line and the beautiful results!
