Bulk Bin Shopping & Must-Make Banana Chia Seed Recipe

A glimpse of the bulk bin goodness at MOM’s

Do you shop bulk bins for shelf stable foods?

I have for many years, but will admit that the pandemic cramped my style. So, I’m making it a bigger priority this year and a recent trip to MOM’s Organic Market solidified how easy and rewarding it is. Not to mention, bulk bin shopping is most likely cheaper and you’re saving more plastic bags/containers from entering our landfills (if not recycled) by bringing your own container.

I love using mason jars for bulk shopping and you just need to remember to weigh your jar first to know its tare weight – which will be deducted from your final product weight upon paying at the cash register.

I’ve been prioritizing meal prep this month and once I restocked my chia seed supply during my trip to MOM’s, I couldn’t wait to try this new breakfast recipe, as it’s perfect for meal planning and prepping.

Kathleen Ashmore’s banana chia seed pudding recipe is definitely one to add to your must-make list ASAP, as it is so easy and delicious.

This vegan and GF pudding is a great fiber and protein boost for breakfast and also as a heartier afternoon snack, too. I enjoyed it topped with blueberries, walnuts and cinnamon and can’t wait to change up the toppings for my next batch!
