If you regularly use oat flour, have you ever tried making your own instead of buying?
Making flour at home is so simple and will save you money, too – all you need is a high speed blender or food processor and rolled oats. That’s it!
Since you can control what type of oats you use (gluten free, organic, etc), you’ll get the exact end result you want.
I’ve always followed this Love and Lemons recipe and it couldn’t be easier.
Simply start by planning how much oat flour you need, as one cup of rolled oats yields 3/4 cup of oat flour.
Add desired amount of oats to your food processor/blender and mix until you have a fine flour. You’ll want to stop occasionally to stir the oats, but it will be done very quickly!
Store oat flour in a air tight container and now you are all set for your next recipe – and your wallet will thank you, as you now have one less thing to buy!
