Garlic Honey

So excited for my first batch of garlic honey

Whether it’s back to school germs or cold, flu or Covid season, I know we are all looking for ways to naturally boost our immune systems.

Have you ever heard of making fermented garlic honey? I came across @marysnaturalcorner making garlic honey on IG and decided that I had to make it – combining the healing properties of garlic and honey? Genius!

If you’re not familiar, you’ll need two ingredients to make garlic honey – a lot of garlic cloves (I used three heads of garlic) and raw, ideally local, honey – and that’s it!

Add the garlic cloves to a glass jar, top with honey and store them in a dark cabinet. Then you’ll want to burp it every two days, aka open up the lid, and voila! In about a month, you’ll have some amazingly potent and healing fermented garlic honey ready to enjoy.

Mary’s Natural Corner suggests storing it after an month in your fridge to ensure the PH levels don’t get too high.

Now, your future self will thank you for making this honey whenever your immune system needs a boost or to help fight off that “I’m getting sick” feeling and you enjoy eating some of the garlic cloves, honey or both!
