April Favorite Finds: Travel Edition

Following an awesome spring break in Clearwater, Florida, this month’s Favorite Finds focus on better travel essentials that make for easier and smoother trips!

  • Monos Suitcase: For the first time in almost 18 years, I needed to buy a new suitcase and I am so happy that I went with the Monos Carry-On Pro for a few reasons. One, it’s super sleek and compact – actually a bit more compact that I expected, ha – but I made it work 😉 Two, I liked that they confirmed no PFAS inside (no waterproofing like many brands do). Finally, I loved how lightweight it is, which made carry-on and hustling through the airport super easy!
  • Quince Suitcase: Better luggage options are generally limited (minus the above), but love Quince for their high quality fashion and accessories and commitment to sustainability, so I decided to give their luggage a shot. I figured this more affordable brand would be better for my kids’ new carry-on luggage (because #kids). Although they are not as non-toxic as Monos, given the infrequency we use luggage, I was okay with it and their Expandable Carry-On Hard Shell Suitcases were great. Stylish, spacious and easy to maneuver (esp. for kids)!
  • Ikea Packing Cubes: While I’ve never been a big cube packer before, I decided to pick up a few sets of Ikea’s packing cubes for our trip and let me tell you, they made packing a breeze! Bonus knowing they’re a better option due to Ikea’s policy against PFAS and these cubes were especially helpful packing my kids clothes. Can’t wait to use them again for traveling and beyond!
  • Portable Charger: I’ll admit, we’ve had a couple of portable chargers through the years that unfortunately ended up being duds. Thankfully this portable charger has not been a disappointment. We especially love the three universal cables, built-in wall plug and easy carrying case – and it was particularly helpful to have on-hand during our slight travel delays!
  • Countersun Sunscreen: Since we decided our spring break was going to be a carry-on only trip, I loved that Beautycounter offers travel-friendly sizes of our safer sunscreen that work with TSA regulations (the mist is 3 oz and the lotion is 3.4 oz). This non-nano zinc oxide-based mineral sunscreen kept our faces and bodies protected in the hot and powerful Florida sun and proved to the best sunscreen once again – especially for carry on and on-the-go from spring training games to the beach and pool!
