Happy Earth Week!
As we continue our focus on simple tips we can all take to better Mother Earth, let’s talk about household items we use daily/regularly and buy frequently.
We all tend to be creatures of habit, so when we find products we love and use a lot, why not buy them in the largest sizes available?
First off, you will be saving money, as the per-unit cost is typically less for larger quantities.
Since you’re buying these items less frequently, you may reduce your overall shopping trips – whether they’re in person or online – as well as reduce those impulse buys.
Also, with bigger quantities on-hand, you’ll stay better prepared in the long-run!
Lastly, bulk shopping helps reduce packaging waste and for many items, you can reuse the original bottle (i.e. soap, stain remover, etc) – woohoo!!
For our family, we buy white vinegar, laundry detergent, hand soap, dish soap and stain remover (#affiliate) in bulk/refills, to name a few.
Just like the benefits of buying food in bulk and from bulk bins, I hope this will encourage you to consider buying more bulk household items – our Earth and your wallet will thank you in the long run!
