What’s Your Definition of ASAP?

Have you also felt a bit unmotivated recently?

Blame it on winter weather (choose from cold, gloom, wind), the lack of sun, sickness in the house, interrupted sleep (thanks, cute puppy, ha!), aunt flow or the never-ending postmenopausal questions, the state of the world or me really missing Beautycounter, but lately I’ve struggled to feel motivated.

But then, during an IG scroll, I came across this image about ASAP, which helped to reset my mindset. All too often, we are rushing around – from one to-do list item or activity – to the next, and while this is inevitable at times, let’s try to regain that control (keyword try!!).

Instead of trying to do something as soon as possible, could we do it instead:

  • As Slow As Possible – so we truly savor it and take it all in?
  • As Soft As Possible – heck yes for being more gentle on ourselves and more strong on our boundaries!
  • As Sustainable As Possible – could we find a better option when buying something or possibly reuse something we have?
  • As Sincere As Possible – let’s consider the effects of our actions more!
  • As Steady As Possible – we all need some more grounding, right?
  • Allow Space And Pause – my favorite! Let’s stay present and take a breather before moving forward!?

So while I’m hoping this new month and daylight savings help my mood, I’m embracing March as an opportunity to give myself more grace, better define my time and be more intentional with my wants vs. than my shoulds!
