
If you’re like me and my family, we tend to go in waves regarding favorite foods we buy and eat regularly. While cream cheese hasn’t always been at the top of our list, it now is and only recently did I decide to check out the ingredient labels of some of our go-to brands – and I was surprised after not reading the labels for some time!
For such a simple food, five out of the six options I saw at Whole Foods today all contained gums, so sneaky! IMO, there’s no need for processed fillers that could upset our stomachs, so I decided to buy this Tillamook cream cheese.

Only three ingredients?! Woohoo and I love that it’s made without any gums and preservatives, plus the milk does not contain artificial growth hormones. Did I wish Tillamook was organic? Yes, but it was the best, available option at my WF today and I’ll continue searching for better, organic brands in other stores, too.
This is another reminder to be food detectives and regularly turn over the foods you’re buying to double check ingredients and for any changes!
