I know we all love being able to recycle empty products, but what about those tops, pumps, small jars, wands, applicators, etc. that we usually can’t? Well great news to share on this Thursday – if you didn’t already know, Sephora has Pact collection bins in all of their stores and you can recycle those clean empties. Yes, don’t throw them away, as these empties will be repurposed, either recycled into another product, downcycled or converted to energy.
I remember reading about this great program a couple of years ago, so I put a small bag in my bathroom closet to house these smaller items that I knew I could bring. Well, my bag has been growing over time and during a recent visit to Sephora with my daughter, I finally made my first drop!
So, what did I bring? I brought product tops, pumps, lids, dispensers and travel sized jars – and it felt great to recycle them vs tossing them! It couldn’t have been easier and the key is to make sure your packaging is completely clean and obviously empty.

Together we can make a difference, so now I’m going to make it my goal that each time we visit Sephora that I recycle more of my empties 🙂 FYI, I’ve seen these bins either near the store entrance or registers in my local Sephora stores, but definitely ask when you visit, as they’re in all locations.
