Ever since my daughter was introduced to Frozen years ago, she became obsessed and loved all things Frozen. Shortly after, we came across a kids yoga show on YouTube called Cosmic Kids Yoga, specifically Frozen Yoga, and she was instantly hooked.
Our love for yoga has grown over the years from taking family yoga classes and kids yoga/dance camps to online obé fitness yoga classes and adding yoga books to our home library.
Moving our bodies is so important now for our mental and physical health and we love adding this mindful practice to our nightly routine (or whatever time of the day we feel like it!).
We especially love these two books – Sleepy Little Yoga and Yoga Bunny – as they are a great way to wind down before bed, stretch and have fun. My kids love reading them and/or having us take turns and choose poses for us all to do. It’s a relaxing yet fun challenge that usually ends with laughs, too.
Yoga is so wonderful to help us relax and de-stress during these days and it’s especially awesome to combine with some deep breathing (if you haven’t already, the Stop Breathe & Think Kids app is a must-download for some kid-friendly mindfulness) and sharing what we are thankful for.
Let’s bring on all the zen and gratitude right now, amiright?! 🙂
