Spring has sprung and perhaps you’re already in spring cleaning mode.
From your house and car to your medicine cabinet and closet, the clean up possibilities are endless.
Not to stress you out, but I have another suggestion to add to your list – spring cleaning your email inbox(es).
Perhaps you’re like me and have more than one email address you regularly use (why after 15+ years of marriage, I still use my maiden name email is beyond me, but I digress).
When was the last time you took the time to clean up your inbox?
Take a few minutes and look to see which emails you regularly subscribe to and receive daily/weekly.
Do you actually read (any of) them?
Do you still shop those stores?
Or do you regularly just do a delete all and vow to start fresh but eventually give up?
It’s ok, I’m here with you.
Let’s start small together and pick three-five emails we can immediately unsubscribe to right now. Then tomorrow or this weekend, try to tackle more.
It will be worth the short time it takes to do this, as accordingly to Treehugger.com, every newsletter you receive generates around 10 grams of CO2 and only 10% of these emails are ever opened.
Now you’ll reduce your carbon footprint, as you reduce the size of your inbox and lessen the pressure to read all those emails.
Win, win, win!
